Disclaimer: These stories are shared with permission from my mentees. Each of them kindly allowed me to share their journey to inspire others who are navigating the same job search challenges.
When Christina first reached out to me in mid-2025, she had just graduated with a Master’s degree and started applying for jobs — but kept facing rejection after rejection without understanding why.
Before coming to Australia, Christina worked in the banking sector in Vietnam, but during her studies here, she focused entirely on her coursework and had very little exposure to the Australian job market.
We first worked together briefly in November 2024 to refine her CV, but since she was busy with finals, she didn’t have time to apply seriously until after graduation. By the time she started her full job hunt, she was struggling to break through.
When we reconnected in July 2025, I could immediately see that she had a strong background and solid technical foundation — she just needed a clear strategy for her CV, job targeting, and interview skills.
After only two sessions together — focusing on how to tailor her CV to each job, analyse job descriptions, and strengthen her interview performance — Christina completely changed her approach.
✨ And just a few weeks later, she received a full-time offer as a Data Migration Support Officer at Chubb Insurance, one of the world’s leading insurance corporations operating in 54 countries.

Here’s what Christina shared:
“I’m very grateful for the mentorship and guidance I received from Chloe throughout my job search journey. She not only coached me on tailoring my CV but also guided me in refining my interview skills through mock interview sessions, which greatly boosted my confidence. Her practical advice on how to present my experience and align my skills with industry expectations made a huge difference in how I approached applications.”
Christina’s story reminds us that sometimes, a few focused adjustments can make all the difference — and persistence always pays off.
